catching up

I've gotten a little behind on posting layouts... but I haven't been feeling too well. I'm still not 100% better, but I'm getting there. So I'll try to catch up today. :)

we've been on vacation... which was awesome, but I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. I'll share some layouts in a bit. I haven't done much since we got home, but I have some pages that were finished before vaca with yet-to-be released products. so I can post those now. :)

busy week

I had to go out of town for a funeral this past weekend (about 12+ hrs one way) and I'm still trying to catch up on my sleep.

You'll notice some CT changes for me.

Mandy is no longer at Scrap Orchard, but she'll be settling in to her new store SOON. Sorry, can't say where just yet but it looks like a great store! I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone there.

Beckie will be closing her store at Digital Candy in preparation for the birth of her 3rd baby girl. She's having a huge sale right now at DC, which you can read about at her blog. Her stuff is awesome so you don't want to miss these deals!

Amie will be taking a step back from designing as well. She needs to focus on her family right now. So I may be doing an occasional LO for her, but she won't be creating any new kits.

Soooo... lots of changes while I was out of town. Now I'm home and trying to get back to our routine. I have a couple new LOs to share already. I'll post those in a bit. :)

another night without power :(

Ugh! We had yet another big storm last night that led to a power outage. It was only out for about 11 hrs this time -- just enough to kill my scrap time and make the house rather uncomfortable for sleeping. So glad it's back on now, but I didn't sleep well at all and can't fall back asleep. So here I am, hoping to scrap a page before my little guy wakes up for the day. :) I do have a LO to share from yesterday still so I'll do that next.

rough weekend!

Ugh. We had a nasty (yet brief) storm come through Friday night and lost power around 9pm. Once the storm had passed, DH decided to take a walk around the yard (in total darkness) to see how many tree branches he would need to clean up. We *thought* there was a very large branch on the deck... but we quickly realized it was much more. An entire tree had snapped and landed on the deck! Of course, we're counting our blessings because if it had fallen another way it could have easily landed on the house -- right on our son's bedroom where he was fast asleep. Scary! So as much of a pain it will be to take care of the mess, it could be much worse.

The power didn't come back on 'til around 4:30pm or so on Saturday. What a long day without a/c! Everyone who knows me knows how much I HATE hot weather so this was misery -- temps in the 90s, which is ridiculously hot for this time of year. No fun.

We're so happy to have our power back. I've already scrapped a new page and plan to do a couple more today, time permitting. Our a/c is set at 66 right now so life is good! :)
